Decking can accommodate the steepest of slopes where paving would not be appropriate .Decking wood can be divided into two categories: hardwood and softwood. Hardwood is, in general, the more durable of the two. It has natural oils which help maintain the woods appearance. Softwood, is available in a number of varieties ranging from Western Red Cedar to Profile Pine Planks. Softwood is naturally lighter in appearance and can be dyed with a wide range of colours. Both types of planks come either profiled or smooth and can be laid in a various combination of patterns.
